Ustetschko (Ukrainian and Russian Устечко ; Polish Uścieczko ) is a village in Salishchyky Rajon of Ternopil Oblast in western Ukraine .

The place is about 87 kilometers south of the Oblast capital Ternopil and 17 kilometers northwest of the Rajons capital Salishchyky on the bank of the Dniester . It forms the district council of the same name .

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1414, received Magdeburg town charter in 1661 and was initially in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania , Podolian Voivodeship as part of the aristocratic republic of Poland . From 1772 to 1918 it belonged, with an interruption between 1810 and 1815, as part of the Tarnopol district to Russia , under its Polish name Uścieczko to the Austrian Galicia (until 1918 in the Zaleszczyki district ). From 1867 to 1880 the place was the seat of the District Court of the Uścieczko Judicial District , after which it was moved to Tłuste .

After the end of World War I the place to come Poland (in the province Tarnopol , Powiat Zaleszczyki , Gmina Uścieczko ), was in the Second World War in September 1939 by the Soviet Union and then the summer of 1941-1944 from Germany occupied, the place was in incorporated the district of Galicia .

After the end of the war, the place was added to the Soviet Union , where Ustetschko, which was now downgraded to a village, was part of the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991.
