Ute Liepold

Ute Liepold (* 1965 in Bregenz ) is an Austrian director and author , director of Theater Wolkenflug.

Career

Ute Liepold was born in Bregenz and grew up in Dornbirn . After graduating from the BG / BRG Dornbirn-Schoren, she studied philosophy , German studies , journalism and sociology in Vienna and Klagenfurt , graduating with Mag. And Dr. phil. Her main focus is feminism and gender theory .

After journalistic and journalistic activities, she carried out various studies and research projects. She has been writing plays, scripts and directing since 2001. World premieres and productions at the Oldenburg State Theater , the Klagenfurt City Theater , the Vorarlberg State Theater , the “ new stage in villach ” and the “ klagenfurt ensemble ”.

Together with Bernd Liepold-Mosser , she founded the “ Theater Wolkenflug ”, which specializes in contemporary theater in special locations. She staged u. a. in the State Museum of Carinthia , in the Museum of Modern Art Carinthia , in the coat of arms hall of the State of Carinthia , in the Klagenfurt Cathedral , in the Virunum amphitheater and in the Magdalensberg Archaeological Park . Her production of Kafka'sThe Process ” at the new bühne villach was a guest at the “Love me Gender - Performing Feminism” festival in Vienna's Kosmos Theater in November 2016 .

In addition to her artistic work, Ute Liepold is a lecturer at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt . She is a member of the Academy of the Nestroy Theater Prize . Artistic collaborator on the art-based FWF project "Performing Reality" at the University of Klagenfurt.

Ute Liepold has three daughters and lives together with her husband Bernd Liepold-Mosser as a freelance writer and director in Klagenfurt.
