Uwe Bremer creates etchings, copperplate engravings and woodcuts, portfolios, watercolors and oil paintings on wood as well as literary texts. Uwe Bremer is one of the most prominent German graphic artists due to his masterfully unusual image motifs. His fantastic compositions combine symbolically acting geometrical relationships between bodies and surfaces on a mostly light background with delicate lines . In his work, elements of old star and sky maps, symbioses of machine, organic, galactic and scriptual structures are combined in a bizarre way, which thematically relate to science fiction , horror literature and occult levels of meaning. Here Uwe Bremer increases the effective combination of fragments, for example fossils , limbs, scraps of writing, animal and human mutations, to create an overarching composition principle.
