Uwe Kleindienst

Uwe Kleindienst (* 1961 in Cologne ) is a trumpet soloist and professor for trumpet at the Leopold Mozart Center in Augsburg .

Life

Uwe Kleindienst started playing the trumpet when he was 13 years old. After graduating from high school, he first studied business administration , since mathematics was his passion alongside music . Shortly before completing his intermediate diploma in business administration, Uwe Kleindienst took up trumpet studies with Prof. Helmut Schneidewind at the Musikhochschule in Cologne and Düsseldorf . He was a piccolo trumpet specialist and had dedicated himself to the style of the German orchestral school in his lessons. After he became a specialist in the piccolo trumpet a. a. Having made a name for himself internationally with solo parts in Bach's Christmas Oratorio , the B minor Mass and the 2nd Brandenburg Concerto , at the age of 23 he became the first solo trumpeter in the State Orchestra of the Rheinische Philharmonie . Only 5 years later he was engaged by Wolfgang Sawallisch as coordinated first solo trumpeter in the Bavarian State Orchestra in Munich .

In addition to his permanent positions as principal trumpeter in Koblenz and Munich, Uwe Kleindienst also played as a guest in many renowned orchestras in Europe and the USA . Particularly noteworthy are his work in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra under Lorin Maazel , with the Munich Philharmonic under Sergiu Celibidache and in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra z. B. under Maazel or Riccardo Muti . His main focus in the orchestra is often referred to by conductors as "the romanticism", whereby in addition to the works of Bruckner and Gustav Mahler , the operas by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss also belong to his repertoire . He also likes to find a trumpeter challenge in contemporary works by Igor Stravinsky and Hans Werner Henze to the latest new compositions. Today Uwe Kleindienst regularly makes music as a guest in the orchestra or as a soloist in or with various professional cultural orchestras.

In 2000 he accepted the call as C-4 professor for trumpet at the Musikhochschule Nürnberg-Augsburg . Shortly before that, General Music Director Zubin Mehta awarded him the title " Bavarian Chamber Virtuoso ". In parallel to his teaching activities at the Leopold Mozart Center for Music at the University of Augsburg from January 1, 2008, he successfully continued his solo career at home and abroad.
