Uyunqimg ( Chinese  乌云其木格 , Pinyin Wūyúnqímùgé ; Mongolian Oyunchimeg; * December 1942 in Beipiao , Chaoyang , Liaoning ) is a Chinese politician of the Communist Party of China (CCP) and has been the vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress since 2003 .

Life

After schooling studied Uyunqimg first at the University of Science and Technology in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia and graduated in 1960 from. She then finished her studies at the CCP Party School in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 1964 and was a teacher at the CCP Party School in Baotou , a district-free city in Inner Mongolia, until 1960 . During this time she was in 1966 a member of the CCP, and then from 1968 to 1979 editor of the daily newspaper Baotou Daily . After becoming the secretary of the Baotou Economic Committee, she was secretary of the Baotou City Committee of the Baotou CCP from 1980 to 1983 and was also the vice director of the Organization Department.

In 1994, she was appointed assistant secretary of the Inner Mongolia CCP Area Committee. Congress confirmed as candidate of the CPC Central Committee.

After serving as vice chairman of the People's Government between 2000 and 2001, she succeeded Yun Bulong as chairman of the People's Government in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2001 . On the XVI. Party congress took place in 2002 her election as a member of the Central Committee of the CPC and in 2007 on the XVII. Party congress their re-election. In 2003, Yang Jing replaced her as chairman of the Inner Mongolia People's Government .

Since 2003, Uyunqimg has been Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, a 150-member body of the National People's Congress that carries out the work of representing the people between the planning meetings. Ms. Uyunqimg is thus the highest Mongolian and the second highest female representative within the official hierarchy of the People's Republic of China after Liu Yandong , who is a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of the People's Republic of China . In January 2011 she paid an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and was received by Helma Orosz , Lord Mayor of Dresden , among others .
