Manor
The Võnnu manor was first mentioned in 1341. It was owned by the noble Tittfer family until the 16th century . The Wenden farm is documented for the year 1505 . In 1867 the Jõesse and Võnnu estates were merged. The last private owner before the expropriation in the course of the Estonian land reform in 1919 was the noble Baltic German family Ungern-Sternberg .
The originally single-storey mansion was probably built in the second half of the 18th century. It was in the late baroque style. In the first half of the 19th century, a part was expanded to two storeys. Today there are only ruins of the large building in a dense landscape.
