The VW EA390 (EA = development order) is a spark-ignition engines -series of Volkswagen AG with six cylinders . The angle between the cylinders is between 10.6 and 15 degrees. The engine generation has been used in various vehicles of the Volkswagen group since 2003. The engine was installed in the R models Golf IV , Golf V , VW Passat R36 and VW Touareg I , as well as in various Audi models including the Audi A3 and Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne Type 9PA , Skoda Superb 2 , VW Eos . The 2.5 liter engine is used in the Chinese VW Teramont 530 V6. The 3.0 liter engine was used in the Chinese VW Passat (NMS) V6. The camshaft is driven by a chain .
