Vassy is a former French commune with last 1,838 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013), the Vasséen , in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy .

On January 1, 2016, Vassy was incorporated into the new municipality of Valdallière as part of a regional reform together with 13 neighboring municipalities . Vassy represents the administrative seat of Valdallières as the "superordinate district".

Vassy is about 16 kilometers east of Vire Normandie and, at about the same distance, north-northwest of Flers .
