The Vauvre is a river in France that runs in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Center-Val de Loire regions. It rises in a small lake area northeast of La Graule , in the municipality of La Forêt-du-Temple , generally drains in a northerly direction and after around 39 kilometers flows into the Indre as a left tributary in the municipality of Mers-sur- Indre . The Vauvre has its source in the Creuse department , but after about a kilometer it changes to the Indre department , which it crosses on the rest of its way.
