Velká Javořina (Slovak Veľká Javorina ) is the highest mountain in the White Carpathians . It is located on the Slovak - Czech border. It reaches a height of 970 m above sea level.
On the Czech side is the Javořina nature reserve . There are winter sports opportunities on the mountain.
Also located on the summit of the Veľká Javorina a 134.5 meter high, free-standing transmission tower for radio and television , which attracts attention due to its construction, consisting of 4 arranged in the square pipes is. The European long-distance hiking trail E8 leads over the mountain .
From the Velká Javořina there is a view to Hodonín and Pálava , northwest to the Steinitz Forest and the Mars Mountains with the Brdo and Buchlov Castle , including the seascape at Ostrožská Nová Ves and Uherské Hradiště , in the north Uherský Brod with the mountain landscape the Vizovická vrchovina and behind it Hostýnské vrchy .
