Vera Drebusch

Vera Drebusch (* 1986 in Herdecke ) is a German artist who works mainly with the media installation , photography and artist books.

biography

Vera Drebusch completed a diploma in photography in Dortmund and then studied media arts at the Art Academy for Media Cologne , Artes Plásticas at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá and sculpture as a guest in the Franka Hörnschemeyer class at the Bremen University of the Arts and the Kassel Art Academy .

In 2013 Vera Drebusch was a founding member of the GOLD + BETON exhibition space at Cologne's Ebertplatz and from 2013 to 2014 she was artistic director.

In 2015 she was teaching at the University of Cologne at the Institute for Art and Art Theory and at the Faculty of Cultural Studies at the University of Paderborn .

In addition to international funding and travel grants, she was awarded the grant for media artists from the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2016. She curated exhibitions at home and abroad for the West German Artists Association .

Vera Drebusch lives and works in Cologne and Hamburg .
