The Verdinser Plattenspitz or the Verdinser Plattenspitz , also called Alplattspitze , is a 2680  m slm high mountain in the western ridge of the Sarntal Alps , a mountain range in the Italian province of South Tyrol . It is located on the border of the South Tyrolean communities of Schenna , Avelengo and Sarntal, east of Passeier , west of the Sarntal and north of the Meran 2000 ski area .

topography

The Verdinser Plattenspitze falls to the south and west in steep rock slabs to a cirque in the south, which separates it from the western flank of the Hochplattspitze , and the sources of the Sagbach, which is drained over the Masulbach to the Passer . The mountain sends ridges to the north, south-west and south-east, connecting it with the Hinteres Plattinger in the north, the Oswaldscharte and finally the Ifinger in the south-west and the Hochplattspitze in the south-east. In the east there is a wide cirque dotted with many rock faces, which leads to the Kratzbergsee and later to the Sagbachtal.
