The publisher M. Simmering was a German book and magazine publisher based in Lilienthal in Lower Saxony . The small publishing house was founded in 1987 by Manfred Simmering and existed until the end of 2009.

The trained typesetter Manfred Simmering (* 1938), who had been running a printing company in Lilienthal since the early 1970s , founded the publishing house named after him in 1987. The focus of the publishing work was the publication of regional brochures , event calendars and picture calendars with motifs from the region as well as the publication of books with mostly regional references.

In addition, from 1987 to the end of 2009 the publishing house published the regional and cultural magazine Heimat-Rundblick , which was initiated and co-founded by Manfred Simmering and for which he was also responsible as editor during the 23-year publication period in his publishing house .

In total, the publisher brought out more than 60 books on various topics, ranging from novels and non-fiction books on mostly local history or cultural topics to dissertations . Around 17 books were published in the Low German language , and there were also individual publications in English . The authors of the publishing house included Wilko Jäger , Heinz Lemmermann , Jürgen Ludwigs , Rudolf Matzner , Friederike Michelsen , Conrad Naber , Heinrich Schmidt-Barrien , Hans Siewert , Helmut Stelljes and Arn Strohmeyer .

At the end of 2009 Simmering gave up his printing and publishing house for reasons of age. Some of the machines were taken over by the Langenbruch print shop, also located in Lilienthal . At the same time, the printing press publishing house UG (limited liability), newly founded by its owner Jürgen Langenbruch, based in Lilienthal, took over the publishing and graphic services from Simmerings Verlag on January 1, 2010 and has continued its publishing objects and printed products ever since. This also includes the Heimat-Rundblick magazine , which has been published by Druckerpresse-Verlag since then.
