history
The team was founded in 1978 under the direction of Lucien Willekens. It was the successor to Maes Pils . In the first few years, results were mainly achieved in Belgian races, including 1979 at Kuurne – Brussels – Kuurne and 1980 at Halle – Ingooigem . The most important successes were in 1981 at Milan-Sanremo , two stages in the Tour de Suisse , the three days of De Panne and participation in the Tour de France with an 11th place in the overall standings.
