Veronika Domjan (born September 3, 1996 ) is a Slovenian discus thrower who also competes in the shot put .

Athletic career

Veronika Domjan gained her first international experience in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk . There she retired in the shot put with 13.50 m in the qualification and missed a medal in the discus throw as fourth with 47.66 m. In 2014 she took part in the Junior World Championships in Eugene and was eliminated from the qualification there with 47.07 m. A year later, she won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden, with 56.63 m and was eliminated in qualification in the shot put with 13.68 m. In 2016 she managed to qualify for the European Championships in Amsterdam , where she finished tenth in the final with 58.12 m. The following year she won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz with 58.48 m. In 2018 she finished seventh at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona with 56.26 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the European Championships in Berlin with 49.89 m. In 2019 she was eighth at the Summer Universiade in Naples with 53.96 m. At the end of October she reached fifth place at the World Military Games in Wuhan with 51.11 m.

From 2012 to 2017 and 2019 and 2020 Domjan was the Slovenian champion in discus throwing and in 2014 and 2015 as well as 2017, 2019 and 2020 in the shot put.
