The Verse is a river in France that runs in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the north-western municipality of Ugny-le-Gay , near the border with the neighboring municipality of Guivry , drains in an arc from west to south and after around 23 kilometers flows into the Oise as a right tributary in the municipality of Sempigny . In the urban area of Noyon, the river runs partly underground. Just before the mouth, the verse crosses the canal Canal latéral à l'Oise, which runs parallel to the Oise . On its way, the Verse crosses the Aisne and Oise departments .
