The Mitterteich administrative community is located in the Upper Palatinate district of Tirschenreuth and is formed by the following communities:

1. Leonberg , 1022 inhabitants, 51.33 km²
2. Mitterteich , city ​​with 6580 inhabitants, 39.38 km²
3. Pechbrunn , population 1354, 26.45 km²

The administrative community is based in Mitterteich.

The administrative community also belonged to the market town of Konnersreuth from its establishment on May 1, 1978 to December 31, 1979 .
