Administrative community Nienburg (Saale)

In the administrative community of Nienburg (Saale) in the Salzland district , 16 communities were united to handle their administrative business. The VG, which originally comprised 6 municipalities, was expanded on January 1, 2005 to include the municipalities of Baalberge, Biendorf, Cörmigk, Edlau, Gerlebogk, Peißen, Poley, Preußlitz, Wiendorf and Wohlsdorf from the dissolved administrative community of Bernburg-Land . The administrative seat was in the city of Nienburg (Saale) .

On January 1, 2010, the administrative community was dissolved. The municipalities of Gerbitz, Latdorf, Neugattersleben, Pobzig and Wedlitz became the city of Nienburg (Saale) , the municipalities of Baalberge, Biendorf, Peißen, Poley, Preußlitz, Wohlsdorf became the city of Bernburg (Saale) , and the municipalities of Wiendorf, Cörmigk, Edlau and Gerlebogk incorporated into the city of Könnern .
