Pobzig is located about 8 km northeast of the district town of Bernburg (Saale) in the Magdeburg Börde .

Incorporation

On February 4, 2009, the council of the municipality of Pobzig decided that the municipality of Pobzig should be incorporated into the city of Nienburg (Saale). This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

After incorporating the previously independent municipality of Pobzig, Pobzig, Borgesdorf and Gramsdorf become districts of the city of Nienburg (Saale). For the incorporated municipality, the local constitution according to §§ 86 ff. Of the municipality code of Saxony-Anhalt is introduced. The incorporated municipality of Pobzig and the future districts of Pobzig, Borgesdorf and Gramsdorf will become the locality of the receiving city of Nienburg (Saale). A local council with seven members, including the local mayor, is formed in the incorporated municipality of Pobzig.

Transport links

The federal highway 185 ( Bernburg (Saale) - Köthen (Anhalt) ) runs about 3 km south of Pobzig . The next junction Bernburg on the federal highway 14 (Halle (Saale) -Magdeburg) is about 15 km west of the village.
