The administrative community Wörth an der Donau (officially: Wörth adDonau ) is located in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in Bavaria and is formed by the following communities:
- Brennberg , 2037 inhabitants, 30.52 km²
- Wörth adDonau , city , 4909 inhabitants, 52.24 km²
The administrative community is based in Wörth an der Donau, and the chairman of the community is Anton Rothfischer, Mayor of the city of Wörth an der Donau. It has existed since 1978; until December 31, 1979 the parishes of Pfatter and Wiesent were also members.
history
Target planning of the government of the Upper Palatinate in 1975 was the establishment of an administrative community with the center Wörth and the allocation of Brennberg, Pfatter and Wiesent. Wörth agreed to this and demanded the incorporation of Wiesent. Brennberg wanted to form a Vorwald community with Altenthann , Wiesent and Pfatter wanted to remain independent. Nevertheless, in 1978 the administrative community came with these four communities. As early as January 1, 1980, however, Wiesent and Pfatter were given back their communal independence through a law passed by the Bavarian state parliament . Brennberg also submitted an application for dismissal from the administrative community, which, however, was rejected because of insufficient population.
