history
In 1971, as part of the municipal reform, an administrative partnership with the municipalities of Pielenhofen, Pettendorf and Wolfsegg was planned. However, this did not happen initially. In 1975 this plan was resumed and implemented by the government. On May 1, 1978, the Pettendorf administrative community, consisting of Pielenhofen, Pettendorf and Wolfsegg, with its headquarters in Pettendorf, was founded. On January 1, 2002, Pettendorf was released from this administrative community and has since formed a unified community. The administrative seat of the remaining Pielenhofen-Wolfsegg community was relocated to Wolfsegg.
