The administrative association at the Klingenberg dam was a Saxon administrative association in the Weißeritz district . It existed for about five years from 1994 to the end of 1998. The association area extended around the eponymous Klingenberg dam in the Eastern Ore Mountains .

On June 30, 1998 the administrative association had an area of 28.3 km² and 4385 inhabitants, who were evenly distributed over all three communities in the association.

history

In 1993 the three municipalities of Colmnitz , Dorfhain and Klingenberg in the Freital district reached an agreement to form an administrative association. Due to a formal error, this was only created retrospectively to June 27, 1994 on the basis of the law on the regulation of the legal relationships of administrative associations, administrative communities and special purpose associations in the Free State of Saxony of January 15, 1998.

On August 1, 1994, the association area was assigned to the newly created Weißeritzkreis. This district reform in 1994 formed the first part of an administrative reform that was later to make the municipalities of the Free State of Saxony more efficient. The corresponding resolutions were passed in the Saxon state parliament in 1991, and the Upper Elbe Valley / Eastern Ore Mountains municipal area reform law was then drawn up. The law provided for the dissolution of the administrative association and the merger of Colmnitz and Klingenberg with Pretzschendorf . The municipality of Dorfhain should enter into an administrative partnership with the city of Tharandt . The united Pretzschendorf should set up an administrative community with Hartmannsdorf-Reichenau .

The municipality of Klingenberg sued the municipal area reform law, but the suit was dismissed. As an alternative to incorporation, the community had proposed the formation of an administrative community with Pretzschendorf. The dissolution of the administrative association came into effect on December 31, 1998, and the communities of Colmnitz, Klingenberg and Pretzschendorf were merged on January 1, 1999. Dorfhain and Tharandt formed the Tharandt administrative community on January 1, 2000, and the Pretzschendorf administrative community was founded on the same day .
