Victor Rickenbach

Victor Georg Rickenbach (born April 8, 1928 in Laufenburg ; † December 28, 2007 in Baden , legal domicile in Gipf-Oberfrick ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

Rickenbach studied law at the University of Basel and earned his Dr. iur. He worked from 1953 to 1959 as an employee in the Cantonal Administration of Aargau , five years of which he was Director Secretary II in the building department. From 1959 to 1973 he was town clerk in Baden and at the same time chaired the planning commission for inner-city traffic rehabilitation and president of the Baden Labor Court. From 1973 to 1985 he was mayor of Baden and joined the FDP when he took office. This was followed by election to the Grand Council (1977–1985) and later to the Government Council (1985–1993), where he was head of the Department of the Interior.

Victor Rickenbach was made an honorary citizen of the community of Baden in 1985.
