Victor von Poser and Groß-Naedlitz

Victor Julius von Poser and Groß-Naedlitz (born March 23, 1880 in Weimar ; † June 11, 1957 in Berlin ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and district administrator of the Ortelsburg district in the province of East Prussia .

Life

He was a member of the Silesian noble family Poser and the older son of the Prussian major Julius and Hedwig von Rosenberg-Lipinsky .

Career

Victor graduated from high school in 1899 at the "König-Wilhelm" high school in Breslau . Then studied law in Freiburg / Br., Leipzig and Breslau. In 1902 he worked as a trainee lawyer at the Bad Landeck and Glatz District Court . In May 1903 Victor successfully completed his doctorate on the subject of "The legal position of the German protected areas " as a Dr. jur. ( magna cum laude ). 1904/06 he worked as a trainee lawyer with the royal government in Breslau. In 1907/11 he was a government assessor in the Stolp district office . Until August 1914 he worked in the same position in the royal government in Arnsberg (including water management). In November 1914 he was appointed district administrator of the Ortelsburg district, which he remained until he fled in January 1945. After the invasion of Poland in 1939, Victor was employed for some time as a land commissioner in the Zichenau district in Praschnitz ( Przasnysz in Polish ). He earned the nickname 'Forest District Administrator' primarily through his forestry efforts (founding of district forests, rural wasteland afforestation).

He was married to Antonie, geb. Freiin von der Goltz , with whom he had four daughters. The family lived in Kiel .
