Villechantria is a town and commune Déléguée in the French municipality of Val Suran with 116 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté .
The neighboring communities were Andelot-Morval in the north, Saint-Julien in the east, Montagna-le-Templier in the south-east, Broissia in the south, Bourcia in the south-west, La Balme-d'Épy in the west and Florentia in the north-west.
The municipality of Villechantria merged with Louvenne , Saint-Julien and Bourcia to form the new municipality of Val Suran on January 1, 2017 . It belonged to the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier and the canton of Saint-Amour .
