history

The history of Volksbank Bad Oeynhausen-Herford eG begins in 1884 with the establishment of Spar- u. Loan Fund Bünde and the Spar- u. Eilshausen loan office. So it has a tradition of more than 130 years. It emerged from a merger of several Volksbanks and savings and loan funds, which took place mainly in the Herford district and Bad Oeynhausen in the 1980s . The current name Volksbank Bad Oeynhausen-Herford eG was created through the merger of Volksbank Herford and Volksbank Bad Oeynhausen in 2001. In January 2011 Volksbank Enger - Spenge merged with Volksbank Bad Oeynhausen-Herford.

In August 2020, the merger with Volksbank Mindener Land to form Volksbank Herford-Mindener Land eG was decided.
