Totally off the mark - Gags with Diether Krebs is a comedy show that was produced in 1990 by Bayerischer Rundfunk for ARD . Only six episodes were produced; the structure was very reminiscent of its predecessor Sketchup .

concept

Each episode begins with a flight of stairs with fog. It begins with the opening music of the Earth, Wind & Fire song In The Stone . Cancer breaks through a wall of paper with his name on it and goes down the stairs. He already seems a bit insecure and is then promptly interrupted by his mother (also played by him), who comes in through the production door. She then tells the team embarrassingly intimate things from Krebs' private life or his youth, which he nods with a convulsive smile.

After his mother asked "be weird - make us laugh", the skits follow, which have a permanent cast in each episode:

Pit Cock - the devil's stick

A satire on flight series in which pilot Pit Cock with his copilot Manfred Musch and the stewardess Hanna Halterlos have to endure crazy adventures. The sketch begins with a prologue, then an opening credits, in which even all actors have an actor's name that alludes to a real actor and a core gag. At the end there is a preview of the next episode as another gag.

  • Will Plattflieg (allusion to Will Quadflieg ) as Pit Cock (Diether Krebs)
  • Seat belt Solbach (allusion to Sigmar Solbach ) as Manfred Musch (Tilo Prückner)
  • Elenore Düse (allusion to Eleonora Duse ) as Hanna Halterlos (Anja Schiller)

Ballerstaller family

The somewhat retarded Ballerstaller family consists of father (Krebs), mother (Heym) and son (Horwitz). As a neighbor, Peter Bongartz acts as Eddie. Running gags are the head-through-the-window ritual when there is something to see outside, the tipped drinks glasses when the time is asked and the loud flushing of the son in the bathroom. Often there are intelligence issues between Eddie and Father Ballerstaller. Furthermore, some of the actors mistake the door of the cleaning room for the front door.

Harry hungry

Harry Hunger (the best cook) appears behind his counter under a hood that goes up and presents culinary dishes from Hamburg ( Labskaus ), France ( onion soup ' ) or Russia ( borscht ) in the New Hessian Regiolekt . He wears a matching scarf with the flag or coat of arms of the region. It also has a different colored background lighting (e.g. Russia - red). Basically, the recipes are totally nonsensical or not feasible at all. In addition, the respective dishes are stereotypically denigrated by clichés. Another running gag is that he always has the right drink with him, which he mostly prefers than the dish.

Famous singing classics

Diether Krebs appears dressed as a woman on a stage and Ulrich Roski as a piano player. He sings the given classic wrongly or with a ludicrous text for each program. As a running gag he usually says the sentence "In [...] I could do it!" With an allusion to the original.

  • " I'm prepared for love from head to toe "
    • I dented the hood of the bus ...
    • I peeled off the shell of the Negro kiss ...
    • I stopped the shoots after enjoying schnapps ...
  • " White roses from Athens "
    • Tin cans with arsenic ...
    • Election forecasts at half past nine ...
    • Wide trousers can stand ...
  • " Capri-Fischer " (When the red sun sinks into the sea near Capri ...)
    • When the fleet Lotte drowns in the sea near Capri ...
    • If the red lamp of the oil level flashes on the Capri ...
    • When Capri's old cheese stinks in the fridge ...
  • " Such a day, as beautiful as today "
    • One hundred marks for one hundred and fifty brides ...
    • This park where my horse shied so ...
    • I'm ordering my coffin today ...
  • "Do you give yourself roses in Tyrol"
    • If you sprinkle the lawn in Tyrol ...
    • If you give yourself cans with Lysol ...
    • If you swivel the trousers in petrol ...
  • " When the white lilac blooms again "
    • When the aged Dieter sprays again ...
    • When the horny Frieda sees limbs ...
    • When the fast breeder glows again ...

Completion of the broadcast

Finally, Krebs presents his music combo, the members of which are all played by himself:

  • Bobby Backe - Trumpet
  • Theo Tusch - drums
  • Zacki Zupf - double bass
  • Teddy Taste - Piano
  • Kalli Kanne - saxophone
  • Ernie Engel - trumpet

Then he is again interrupted by his mother, who tells more about the sewing box and now asks her son to do something funny. This then ends the program with a good night .

particularities

In some gags, guest actors appear, like Dr. Dressler from Lindenstrasse ( Ludwig Haas ), Ron Williams or Rex Gildo , who, as a precautionary measure, buys up the vegetables of his dissatisfied audience for his concert . In addition, Norbert Gastell , the former voice actor of Homer Simpson and husband of Sketchcombo member Karin Heym, can be seen.

Publications

In 2007 the series was released on DVD by ARD Video. It contains the documentation Funny Boy Diether Cancer as an extra .
