Vollmersdorf is a district of Hardheim in the Neckar-Odenwald district .
Geographical location
Vollmersdorf has an irregular ground plan on the northeastern edge of the Neckar-Odenwald district in Baden-Württemberg on the red sandstone plateau between the upper course of the Eichelbach and the Erfa . The northern local border forms with Guggenberg , a district of the municipality Eichenbühl , district Miltenberg , with the state border between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria . To the east lies Rütschdorf , southeast Dornberg , both also districts of Hardheim. In the west Vollmersdorf borders on Wettersdorf , a district of Walldürn .
history
Vollmersdorf was founded around 1050 (Volmarsdorf, village of Volmar) as a high medieval clearing site and was probably under the rule of the Amorbach monastery . Belonging to the center of Walldürn, it probably came to the Archbishop of Mainz and the Oberamt Amorbach in 1294. The local rule was with the nobility, in 1456 Kunz Rüdt and Dieter von Neipperg are named. Around 1500 the Rüdtsche part went to Kurmainz . In 1544 part belonged to Michel von Rosenberg . Before 1656, the second half of the town fell from the Lords of Riedern to Kurmainz. In the course of secularization , Vollmersdorf came to the Principality of Leiningen in 1803 and to the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1806 .
From 1935 to 1945 Vollmersdorf (together with Dornberg and Rütschdorf) was incorporated into Wettersdorf. In 1975 it was incorporated into Hardheim.

The former coat of arms of Vollmersdorf, proposed in 1908 by the General State Archives Karlsruhe and adopted in 1957, shows a six-spoke silver wheel on a red background, above a golden crown with five prongs, three of which are decorated with leaves and two with pearls.
