Volmar Wikström

Volmar "Volmari" Valdemar Wikström (born December 27, 1889 in Pargas , † June 10, 1957 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish wrestler . He wrestled mostly in the Greco-Roman style, but at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 1924 he wrestled in freestyle and was second behind Russell Vis from the United States.

Finnish championships

In the Greco-Roman style, Volmari Vikström became champion in 1914 and runner-up in 1915 and 1918. In freestyle wrestling, he was runner-up in 1923, but a year later he was Finnish champion ahead of Arvo and Yrjö Haavisto .
