Von Engeln und Schweinen is the debut album by the German musician Felix Meyer , which was released on May 14, 2010. The album was produced by Peter Hoffmann ( Tokio Hotel, among others ) under the HoPla-reloaded label.

Emergence

Peter Hoffmann heard Meyer and his band at a street concert in Lüneburg and invited them to record with Franz Plasa and himself in the HOME Studios in Hamburg. The recordings took about two years.

In addition to original compositions Felix Meyer also has two French-language titles with German lyrics gecovert . "La Corrida" (The Corrida) by Francis Cabrel and "Le vent nous portera" (The wind carries us away) by Noir Désir .

Stefan Maelk from MDR describes Meyer's texts as "a mixture of tramp romance and social analysis".

The Berliner Morgenpost rated the album with: "German rock with rough edges instead of smooth pop".
