history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1318. Although Vrbětice is in the immediate vicinity of Vlachovice, the village has always belonged to the Hošťálková rule and was at no time subject to Vlachovice. With the exception of forest work, its residents were exempt from forced labor. In the land register of 1620, a hereditary bailiff is documented for the first time in Vrbětice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vrbětice / Wrbietitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Uherský Brod and the judicial district Valašské Klobouky . In 1928 the volunteer fire brigade was formed . Since 1949, Vrbětice was assigned to the Okres Valašské Klobouky and came to the Okres Gottwaldov at the end of 1960 after its cancellation . In 1967 Vrbětice was united with Vlachovice to form a municipality Vlachovice-Vrbětice, which changed its name to Vlachovice in 1985.
