Vy Tåg AB , formerly Tågkompaniet (TKAB) or Svenska Tågkompaniet AB , is a rail company with train services in Sweden . It belongs to the Norwegian transport company Vy .

TKAB was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Gävle . It started operations in 2000 and mainly serves regional and local trains in northern Sweden. After the Norges Statsbaner (NSB) first took a third part in TKAB in 2004 (in connection with the end of the LINX cooperation between NSB and SJ AB ), NSB now owns 100% of the shares.

In 1999 night train and regional train services to / from or in Norrland were put out to tender . TKAB applied and won the tenders by summer 2003. Various other routes were also taken over and some of them were already lost. Tågkompaniet currently operates trains for Tåg i Bergslagen , X-Trafik and, through the joint subsidiary Roslagståget, the Stockholm suburban railway Roslagsbanan with the Danish State Railways (DSB) .
