Vyto Ruginis

Vytautas "Vyto" Ruginis (* 1956 in Wolverhampton , United Kingdom ) is an American actor .

Life

Ruginis was born in 1956 to Lithuanian immigrants in Wolverhampton, UK. When Ruginis was four years old, his family moved to the United States and settled in Chicago , where Ruginis also grew up. He attended St. Ignatius College Prep there.

After completing his studies, he took on smaller roles in television productions such as Ryan's Hope from 1982 . He took on his first major role in 1985 in the mini-series Kane & Abel at the side of Peter Strauss and Sam Neill . From the mid-1980s, Ruginis also appeared in major supporting roles in films such as 8 Million Ways to Die , Jumpin 'Jack Flash and The Damned of War .

In 1991, Ruginis worked with Elizabeth Taylor on a commercial for Taylor's perfume White Diamonds . At the side of Sylvester Stallone and Rex Linn , he appeared in the 1993 action film Cliffhanger - Only the Strong Survive as FBI agent Matheson .

In addition to his film roles, Ruginis can be seen regularly in guest roles in well-known television series.
