The 2007-08 season was the fourth season of the Western Women's Hockey League (WWHL), one of Canada's two top divisions in women's ice hockey in the western provinces of Alberta and British Columbia . The Calgary Oval X-Treme defeated the Minnesota Whitecaps 5-2 in the championship final . So they secured the fourth championship title in a row in the WWHL.
Attendees
Five teams again took part in the fourth edition of the WWHL: The Strathmore Rockies , founded in March 2006, took part in regular gaming for the first time, while the Saskatchewan Prairie Ice withdrew before the start of the season.
During the 2007-08 season, the Chinese women's national team in Alberta Province is preparing for the World Cup. Some Chinese internationals have been accepted into the ranks of the Alberta WWHL teams. In addition, the national team played a total of eleven friendly matches against the WWHL participants.

Esso Women's Nationals
The WWHL champion was played in 2008 as part of the annual Canadian (amateur) women's championship, which hosted a separate competition for club teams for the first time and once. Two representatives of the WWHL and the Canadian Women's Hockey League met each other. The best placed team in the WWHL probably also received the championship trophy of the WWHL.
The tournament was held in Charlottetown , Prince Edward Island , at the Capital Area Recreation and Civic Center .
In the game for third place, the Calgary Oval X-Treme defeated the Minnesota Whitecaps 5-2, securing their fourth championship title in a row.
