The constituency of Silesia 11 was a constituency for the elections to the House of Representatives in the Austrian Crown Land of Silesia . The electoral district was created in 1907 with the introduction of the Reichsrat election regulations and existed until the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy .
history
After the Reichsrat had decided on the general, equal, secret and direct male suffrage in autumn 1906, the major reform of the electoral law through the sanctioning of Emperor Franz Joseph I came into effect on January 26, 1907 . The new Reichsrat election regulations created a total of 416 electoral districts, with the exception of Galicia in each constituency one member was elected in the course of the Reichsrat election. The MP had to prevail with an absolute majority in the first ballot or in a runoff election. The constituency of Silesia 11 comprised the judicial districts, judicial district of Opava, excluding the communities in electoral districts 8, 9, and 10, the judicial district of Wagstadt excluding the communities of constituency 10, the judicial district of Königsberg excluding the communities of constituency 10, and the communities of Briesau , Dittersdorf , Jantsch , Markersdorf , Waldolbersdorf .
The Bohemian agrarian Karel Rolsberg emerged victorious from the 1907 Reichsrat election . In the 1911 Reichsrat election , the Social Democrat Zigmund Witt prevailed.
