Walfried Böcker (born October 2, 1957 ) is a German bass player , producer and composer . He worked under the pseudonyms MC B , MC Bones and Junior Deros , but was also a member of various bands, including Homeless and Magna Charta .

biography

Böcker completed his studies in double bass and music education at the Robert Schumann Institute in Düsseldorf . From 1976 he belonged (with Jürgen Dahmen ) to the Big Fletchit trio . Between 1978 and 1982 he played for Axel Petry . As MC B, he and Daisy Dee recorded a cover version of the Technotronic hit This Beat Is Technotronic , which was placed in the top 20 of the German and Austrian charts in the spring of 1990 . He was active as a jazz bassist and worked a. a. with Wilton Gaynair , Gerd Dudek , Buddy Casino , Helge Schneider , Michel Pilz , Wolfgang Engstfeld , Remy Filipovitch , Alan Jones , Eddy Harris and Big Fletchit.

Böcker also produced for artists such as The Weather Girls , Gil Ofarim , Marijke Amado , Jermaine Jackson and Alexander Gero, but was also involved in film music recordings with Helge Schneider, Christoph Schlingensief and Lilo Wanders . As a composer, he contributed the music for the productions Leckerschmecker , Der kleine Wassermann , Die Räuber and Die kleine Hexe of the Oberhausen Theater . As musical director, among other things, of the production The Show with the Panda Bear - A Song Recital , he has been working at the Theaterhaus Jena since 2015 .
