Waling ( Nepali वालिङ ) is a city ( municipality ) in the Syangja District in Nepal .

Waling is located in the valley of the Aadhi Khola on Siddhartha Rajmarg , the overland road from Pokhara to Siddharthanagar , approx. 15 km (as the crow flies) southwest of Pokhara.

Waling is a center of orange cultivation and recently also of coffee.

The city was formed in 1996 from the merger of three VDCs , Dhanubase , Pekhubaghkhor and Waling . The urban area covers 34.76 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the city of Waling had 24,006 inhabitants (10,809 of them male) in 5952 households.
