Wallace "Wally" Richardson (born June 4, 1930 in Harlem , New York City ) is an American jazz and rhythm and blues musician ( guitar ).

Live and act

Richardon worked in the New York R&B scene from the early 1950s with Andrew Tibbs (who made the first recordings for Savoy ), as well as with Big John Greer , Leroy Kirkland , Varetta Dillard , Pete Brown , King Curtis , LaVern Baker , Sil Austin and Big Joe Turner . In 1959 he released the rock 'n' roll single Rock A Doodle Reveille / It's Paris (Carlton 500), recorded with songwriter and organist Leroy Clover , as Le Roy and Wally . In the following decade he worked a. a. on recordings by Bobby Donaldson , Al Sears , Arthur Prysock , Shirley Scott , Buddy Tate , Charlie Singleton , Johnny "Hammond" Smith , Bill Doggett , Sam "The Man" Taylor , Honi Gordon , Etta Jones , Illinois Jacquet , Ray Bryant , Freddie McCoy , Andy Bey , Solomon Burke , James Brown , Erroll Garner , Herbie Mann , Donald Byrd , Lee Morgan , Willis Jackson , Dizzy Gillespie , Bobby Hutcherson , Duke Pearson and Richard "Groove" Holmes with.
