Walter Brandner (politician)

Walter Brandner (born July 22, 1920 in Schönbach , Czechoslovakia ; † November 11, 1998 in Andechs ) was a German politician ( NPD ).

Brandner attended the elementary school in Schönbach and in Oberplan in the Bohemian Forest , later the lower secondary school in Bergreichenstein and Eger and the humanistic high school in Duppau near Karlsbad . During the Second World War he was used in the medical academy in Graz and as a soldier in the Netherlands , France , Yugoslavia , Russia , Hungary and Italy . He attended war school , was then promoted to lieutenant and was last lieutenant in the armored force . After a two-year captivity in Italy, he worked there as an export merchant and research assistant for several pharmaceutical companies. In 1955 he returned to Germany, where he was a research assistant for a large pharmaceutical company.

Brandner joined the NPD in January 1965. Before that, he had no party membership. In 1966 he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament. On May 1, 1967, however, he left the parliamentary group, followed by Benno Herrmannsdörfer and Hermann Simm during the electoral term . Brandner was a non-attached member of the state parliament until 1970.
