Walter Kreindl

Walter Kreindl (* 25. September 1927 in Linz ; † 10. February 2017 ) was an Austrian painter and author .

Live and act

Kreindl lived and worked in Linz . Since 1953 he was a member of the Professional Association of Fine Artists of Upper Austria and since 1958 of the Upper Austrian Artists Association . He was president from 1975 to 1993 and has been honorary president of this artists' association ever since. In 1990 he was appointed to the art advisory board of the city of Linz.

Kreindl was essentially self-taught , completed a watercolor painting seminar with Paul Ikrath , was a guest student at the art school of the city of Linz and attended lithographic seminars with Alfred Billy .

The artist designed his pictures with charcoal , felt pen , oil paint , pastel and, since 1972, watercolor .

Kreindl presented his works in solo and group exhibitions, u. a. in the Austrian Museum of Folklore Vienna , in the Upper Austrian State Museum , in the Museum Nordico of the city of Linz .
