Walter Rosenberg

Walter Rosenberg (born August 21, 1882 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † April 1945 by suicide ) was a German sculptor and artist.

Life

Rosenberg studied at the Königsberg Art Academy from 1899 to 1902 and was a master student of Friedrich Reusch for three years . After traveling through France and Italy, he finally settled in Königsberg. Here he quickly became a recognized artist and sculptor. Most of his work in the former provinces of Pomerania and East Prussia was desecrated and destroyed under Polish and Soviet administration after the Second World War.

He showed some works at exhibitions of the Königsberger Kunstverein .
