Yuan Wan (born May 23, 1997 in Eberswalde ) is a German national table tennis player . In 2016 she won the German championship in doubles.
Career
Yuan Wan is the daughter of the Chinese-born table tennis trainer Wan Guohui, who works with Jie Schöpp and is a four-time Chinese national champion. She was trained in the table tennis center in Düsseldorf . She achieved her first success in 2012 when she finished second in the German student championship in singles and won the championship in doubles with Alena Lemmer . At the 2012 European Schools Championships she was part of the German championship team and made it to the finals in doubles with Alena Lemmer. Two years later she came back to the final of the German student championship in singles and won in doubles with Chantal Mantz . She won silver with the team at the European Schools Championships.
In 2016 she won the doubles title with Chantal Mantz at the German Championships in Bielefeld after beating Yuko Imamura / Kathrin Mühlbach in the final .
Their first clubs were TV Busenbach (until 2012) and TB Wilferdingen. In the 2013/14 season she achieved a positive score of 14:13 in the 2nd Bundesliga in the upper pair cross of the Weiß-Rot-Weiß Kleve . In 2014 she moved to the 1st Bundesliga for TTG Bingen / Münster-Sarmsheim , in 2020 she was signed by SV DJK Kolbermoor .
On September 26, 2016, she played an international match for the adults for the first time. In the qualifying game for the European Championships, she defeated the Swiss Karina Lefevre in Merseburg. At the first U-21 European Championship in February 2017, she won silver in singles after losing to Chantal Mantz in the final.
Private
Yuan Wan's younger sister, Qian Wan, became the German school champion in 2015.
