The coat of arms of Colombia was introduced in 1834 and slightly changed in 1924.
description
The coat of arms is divided twice and shows a golden stalked pomegranate above in blue accompanied by a golden cornucopia on the right golden coins and on the left scattered fruits.
A red Phrygian cap tucked into a golden lance tip in silver.
Below in blue two three-masted square sailors with white set sails and with a golden stern flag driving to the right, separated by a green headland. On both sides of the coat of arms two national flags in the colors yellow-blue-red with silver pole tips and golden cords.
The naturally colored condor sits on the shield with outstretched wings and holds the shield in its beak on a green cord that is led through a silver ring. A golden lettering with black capital letters the motto "LIBERTAD Y ORDEN" to his catch.

The Colombian coat of arms consists of three horizontal fields with a condor ready to fly above.
The coat of arms is supplemented on the left and right by two flags each in the colors yellow - blue - red and a golden stick tip, which are gathered to the lower end of the coat of arms shield .

- In the upper third of the coat of arms, on a blue background, there is a golden pomegranate , which is reminiscent of New Granada - the country's former name. This part represents the wealth and abundance of the land.
- In the second third on a silver background there is a red Phrygian cap (span. "El gorro frigio") attached to a golden lance tip, which stands for republican sentiments.
- In the last third there are two large ships with hoisted sails on the two oceans that surround Colombia (the Pacific and the Caribbean as a side sea of the Atlantic ). The hoisted sails symbolize Colombia's trade with the rest of the world.
