Book of arms of the higher nobility of the German federal states
The book of coats of arms of the higher nobility of the German federal states is a compilation of 18 volumes of the coats of arms of the higher nobility of the German federal states . The editor of this book of coats of arms is JA Tyroff from Nuremberg , between 1846 and 1865 the 18 volumes with 100 plates each appeared. All the noble coats of arms listed there are presented in alphabetical order, apart from the names of the coat of arms bearers, there are no additional texts and sources.
The volumes (content)
- The first volume lists the coat of arms of Duke Arenberg to the Principality of Wied and Counts Abensberg and Traun to Haus Lippe .
- In the second volume the series continues with the princes of Batthyány up to the prince Taxis-Bordogna .
- In the third volume, the series of princes with Hohenlohe-Bartenstein-Jaxtberg to Windisch-Grätz is presented. This is followed by the Counts Arco to Unruh .
- The fourth volume appeared in 1848 and presents the coats of arms of the princes Curland to Reuss and the counts of Aicholt to Pejachevies.
- In the fifth volume the counts Ankwitz to Woracziczky are represented.
- The sixth volume begins with the princes from Anhalt-Köthen-Pleß to Lichnowsky and continues with the Counts Abendsberg to Taube .
- In the following seventh part, the coats of arms of the princes Württemberg to Solms-Lich-Hohensolms and the counts Arz-Wasegg to Zollern are presented.
- The contents of the eighth volume include the Princes Czartoryski -Sangusko to Ursini de Gravina and the Counts Aichelburg to Wintzingerode .
- The coats of arms of Duke Croy-Dülmen, Princes Rohan-Guemené and Sulkowsky as well as Counts Althahn bis Zucker are presented in the ninth volume. Some corrections then follow.
- The tenth volume begins with the princes Hohenlohe-Hechingen and Hohenlohe-Sigmaringen and continues with the counts Ahlimb-Saldern to Zinzendorf . Some corrections follow.
- The Counts Algaotti to Wreech are represented with their coats of arms in the eleventh volume.
- With the coats of arms of Count Ahlimb-Saldern to Baron André Vicomte de Georgier, the series is continued with the twelfth volume.
- In the thirteenth volume the coats of arms of Counts Ahlefeldt to Zoltowsky are presented.
- The fourteenth volume begins with Prince Rochefouleauld, Duke of Biaccia and continues with the Count Boineburg , and ends with Count Zierotin .
- Counts Althann-Altan to Gedult find their place in Volume 15.
- The sixteenth volume includes the Princes Pignatelli and Pless , as well as the Counts Alten bis Zoller.
- There is no table of contents in the seventeenth volume; it begins immediately with Count von Malachowski and ends with Count von Kinsky-Tettau . In the next section, the barons von Kottulinsky-Kottulin follow up to the barons von Zech .
- The eighteenth volume and thus the last of this edition, also without a table of contents, begins with Count Riechieri von Sedrano and ends with Count von Munster zu Langenlage, Baron von Oer . Ultimately, the barons von Berchem zu Pluedenburg and Menzing follow up to the barons von Widnmann auf Rappelzell.
