We Are the Best Band in the World is a Dutch Trancecore - band , which in 2009 Utrecht under the name power Glad children Haribo was founded. The band name goes back to the advertising slogan of the confectionery manufacturer Haribo .

history

Haribo Macht Kinder Froh was founded in 2009 as a fun project. On October 8, 2009, their first single Highfives and Breakdowns was released . In March 2010 the second single followed with the name We Are Monsters . On January 6, 2011, the debut album Where Is the Afterparty? which was produced and sold in-house.

Just one year after its founding, the group first attracted attention when they played for the first time as the opening act for the band Enter Shikari on their European tour in January 2010 . In April a mini tour followed to promote their single We Are Monsters with We Butter the Bread with Butter , CasioKid and Amy Can Flyy . In the summer of 2010 the band played at several festivals in Europe, followed by the band's first headline Europe tour in October.

In January 2011 the band toured the Netherlands and Belgium to promote their debut album. On this tour the group played 12 concerts. Headlining was the Dutch band No Turning Back . The band also received the award from UP magazine in the category The band that can make their breakthrough in 2011 . In February 2011 the band played in the opening act for the American group Attack Attack! .

Haribo Macht Kinder Froh also toured with A Day to Remember , Asking Alexandria , Four Year Strong, and Breathe Carolina . Due to a lawsuit from the confectionery manufacturer Haribo, the band was forced to change their band name.

Therefore, the band briefly renamed itself Wearethebestbandintheworld. The group announced that it would break up, but this turned out to be a joke on the part of the musicians. In 2013 the group played together with Die Kassierer and Kapelle Petra at the Ringrocker Warm Up Party .
