Military district Generalgouvernement (Krakow)
The Wehrkreis Generalgouvernement (Cracow) was a military administrative unit of the Wehrmacht during the time of the National Socialist German Reich and existed from July 15, 1941 to September 22, 1944. It was responsible for the military security of the so-called Generalgouvernement as well as the recruitment and training of soldiers for the Army of the Wehrmacht in this area. The military district comprised several military substitute districts . The headquarters were in Krakow .
