Military district IX (Kassel)
The Military District IX (Kassel) was a territorial administrative unit of the Wehrmacht in the Nazi Reich and was from 1935 to 1945. He was in charge of military security in the area of Hesse and Thuringia as well as the recruitment and training of staff for the army . The military district comprised the three replacement districts of Kassel, Frankfurt am Main and Weimar . The headquarters were in Kassel .
