action

Zoo dealer Johannes Böhmke would love to win back his divorced wife. Both see each other every day, but with his gruff and gruff manner, he has little prospect, because tax advisor Marion is not interested and the stalking of her ex-husband annoys her. In order to have even more time for his observations, Johannes even hires a temporary worker, although his turnover doesn't justify this at all. After the young man sprained his ankle in his pet shop, Johannes was forced to take on his second part-time job as Santa Claus. Although Johannes is not at all good at approaching strangers and especially not at children, he makes an impression on little Sascha when he visits the house. Since the boy thinks he is the real Santa Claus, he asks that his parents not get a divorce. In the following days Sascha meets Johannes again and again and also visits him in his pet shop. Marion sees how nice Johannes treats the boy and is really impressed. Both get closer to each other again, because Johannes has somehow changed for the better thanks to Sascha. During his commitment to Sascha, which Johannes had actually only shown to make an impression on Marion, he notices that this fate affects him very much. When the marriage of Sascha's parents actually seems to be coming to an end, he does not want to abandon the boy. When looking for Sascha's father, who left the family after an argument, he even neglects his Marion. In turn, she becomes curious why Johannes suddenly no longer seems to be interested in her. She realizes that Johannes is no longer as selfish and humorless as he used to be. Johannes manages to find Sascha's father and get him to return to his family. Sascha is so happy that he wishes all the best for his Santa Claus, Johannes, which now actually happens and Marion and Johannes actually find each other again.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv said: “Let a sullen contemporary become a lovable person through the trusting attachment of a child, take a large portion of the 'Wonderful World of Amélie' and pour the whole thing into the form of a romantic comedy. With Christoph Waltz and Barbara Auer that can be achieved. A real romantic highlight! "

Also Prisma.de praised and called the film a further one stated "fabulous, witty romantic comedy." "The appeal to more humanity is indeed sometimes get cheesy bad, but it makes thanks to smart active performer fun. Especially Barbara Auer doesn't look the same here! "
