Welschhufe is a district of the Saxon community of Bannewitz in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .
geography
The place is south of the main town. State road 36 runs through the town . The town lies above the Dresden Elbe Valley .
history
The village was first mentioned in 1350 as Holbrode et Welkuz . 1547 it is mentioned as in the desert Weltzschübel. The Vorwerk Welschhufe was named as part of the Bärenklause manor , next to which there was a forge and 11 houses in 1785. Since 1860, the town of Neu-Welschhufe expanded with the construction of a school, which was consecrated on August 19, 1904, and many houses along the federal road 170 as far as the Poisental.
