Cunnersdorf is a district of the Saxon community of Bannewitz in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .

The place is north of the main town and south of Dresden . In the west lies the large district town of Freital .

history
The place was founded around 1140. Cunnersdorf was first mentioned in 1299 as Cunratesdorf (village of a Conrad). The manor of the Lord Chamberlain Heinrich von Taube is mentioned in 1650. There is evidence of a school in town as early as 1861. In 1908 a gym was built. A sports field was laid out between 1929 and 1932.
In order to distinguish the community from other places with the same name, it was called Cunnersdorf bei Kaitz .
After the incorporation on July 1, 1950, the village received the status of a district in 2000 .
